Armenian Rescue Service registers 158 cases during holidays
The Rescue Service of Armenia has registered 158 cases in the period from 31 December to 8 January. As the Press Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations reports Head of the Rescue Service, Colonel Mushegh Ghazaryan has briefed on the cases during the first meeting held in the Ministry of Emergency Situations in this year.
He has also turned to the activities of the temporary bases deployed in Aragatsotn, Syunik and Gegharkunik regions of Armenia. 5 cases has been recorded by the tent base deployed in Aragatsotn Province with 65 people and 22 vehicles being taken to safe places. Syunik rescue base has registered 2 cases, 48 people and 22 vehicles have been taken to safe places. The activities in the bases have been carried out in a pre-determined manner and shifts. The rescue bases have operated four days and will continue their service as needed.
Notably since 27 December temporary bases have been deployed in Aragatsotn, Syunik and Gegharkunik regions of Armenia in order to provide urgent and efficient assistance to the citizens.
Six rescuers fulfill services in the temporary tent-bases. The workers ensure urgent assistance to citizens trapped in the snow providing them with hot meal and first aid.
