Two tragic incidents caused by gas leakage recorded in Musaler community of Armenia
Two tragic fallouts caused by gas leakage were recorded in Musaler community of Armenia on the same day. A family of three, including a 4-month-old baby, were found dead in the house on January 8, while a man died of asphyxia after a fire broke out in the house on the same day.
Edgar Hovhannisyan, Head of Musaler Community told Panorama.am the victim Gagik Davtyan, 46, who also suffered from mental disease, died of gas suffocation.
According to Hovhannisyan, the man had failed to set the furnace that caused the smoke to flood into the house, and a fire broke out.
On early morning of the same day, a young couple with their 4-month-old baby was found dead in another house, with the head of the community insisting the family had installed the gas furnace with violations of the gas safety rules.
Asked whether proper inspections by the officials had been carried out to prevent the incident, the head of the community told the family lived in the house for couple of days and that even the neighbors were unaware that people lived in the house.
