Poetess and translator Anahit Bostanjyan passes away
Famous Armenian poetess and translator, member of Armenia’s and Georgia’s Unions of Writers Anahit Bostanjyan passed away suddenly on Sunday. According to the report by Georgia’s Armenian Community Facebook page, Bostanjyan was 67.
She is the receiver of Georgia’s Order of Honour and Armenia’s Movses Khorenatsi medals for advancement of the Georgian and Armenian literature. Being the author of numerous proses, poems and translations, Bostanjyan has long advocated for the Armenian-Georgian literary ties.
Anahit Bostanjyan has not only authored more than forty books but also served a journalist and the editor of “Kamurj” annual. Bostanjyan has published more than 500 books and translated mainly from Georgian, Russian, English and Persian.
