Robert Aghasaryan claims victory against the sole leader of chess tournament
The games of Round 3 of Andranik Margaryan Memorial 2017 chess tournament has been held. Five out of six Armenian chess players taking part in the tournament have secured victories, Panorama.am reports referring to chessfed.am.
As the source informs Aram Hakobyan was the first to win his game against Vojtech Plat from Czech Republic in the 21th move. In Round 3 the sole leader of the tournament Dmitry Gordievsky from Russia was competing with Robert Aghasaryan. Armenian chess player, who was playing with back pieces, managed to claim a victory and has equal points with Gordievsky.
Arman Mikaelyan won his game against Stanislav Bogdanovich from Ukraine. Hovik Hayrapetyan secured victory against David Paravyan and Levon Babujyan won the game against Vahe Baghdasaryan.
After Round 3 four chess players Robert Aghasaryan, Levon Babujyan, Dmitry Gordievsky and Arman Mikaelyan have scored 2 points and hold the lead of the table.
Aram Hakobyan and Hovik Hayrapetyan have scored 1.5 points and share 5-6 positions. Vojtech Plat, Stanislav Bogdanovich, Vahe Baghdasaryan and David Paravyan conclude the table with 1 point.
