L. Alaverdyan: Profound diplomacy is not observed, state authorities are passive
“I consider the recent statement of the OSCE Minsk Group as a direct cover of Azerbaijani subversive attack and indirect participation in it,” Head of the Foundation against Violation of Law NGO Larisa Alaverdyan expressed such an opinion during today’s press conference, Panorama.am reports.
In her words the issue not only refer to the Co-Chairs but also to our authorities and the society. She states that no profound diplomatic measures are taken, the state bodies and the society are passive as they have failed to submit complaints to international organizations regarding for instance, the Azerbaijani aggression leashed against the Armenian border on 29 December.
“The statement has both positive and negative aspects. The positive side is that the Minsk Group can make an imperative statement that has not been observed so far. The bad thing is it is linked to certain conditions. I don’t remember them releasing such a statement on humanism when the Azerbaijani soldiers committed atrocities against our servicemen by beheading them. It turns out they have a biased approach towards humanism and do not expect Azerbaijan to show a humanistic behavor,” Head of “Against Violation of Law” NGO stated.
“We should not expect any changes in the diplomatic platform by keeping silent. Tough imposes are already common in geopolitics,” she added.
