Tata Steel: Levon Aronian makes a fourth draw
Round 4 of Tata Steel chess tournament took place yesterday in Netherlands. In this round Levon Aronian’s opponent was Ian Nepomniachtchi of Russia. On move 28 a draw was agreed. Panorama.am reports citing Chess Federation of Armenia.
In round 4 the leader of the tournament Pavel Eljanov of Ukraine outplayed Baskaran Adhiban of India. World Champion Magnus Carlsen and World number 4 Wesley So beat their opponents as well. The rest of the games were drawn.
After 4 rounds Eljanov stays in the lead with 3.5 points. Carlsen and So share the second place with 3 points. Levon Aronian has scored 2 points and is on the 8th place.
In round 5 Aronian’s rival will be the leader of the tournament Pavel Eljanov.
