Pedro Agramunt re-elected PACE President, Hermine Naghdalyan _ PACE Vice-President
During PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe) winter session launched today representative of the European People's Party Pedro Agramunt was re-elected as PACE President for one-year term. No other candidates have run for the position, Panorama.am reports.
Pursuant to the PACE statute the presidency is transmitted to the parties sequentially. The president is elected for one-year term which is extended for another year.
Agramunt thanked the parliamentarians for their trust and cooperation.
Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Head of the Armenian delegation to PACE Hermine Naghdalyan has been re-elected as Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) during today’s plenary session.
The Office of the Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly reminds that Hermine Naghdalyan has assumed the post of the PACE Vice-President since 25 January 2016 and pursuant to the PACE statute she will remain in office until the opening of the next session.
This year representative of the delegations from France, Germany, Italy, England, Spain, Moldova, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Andorra, Cyprus, Estonia have been elected to the posts of PACE Vice-President.
