Tata Steel: Aronian to compete with leader Wesley So
Tata Steel chess tournament is underway in Wijk aan Zee town, Netherlands with Armenian GM Levon Aronian taking part in it. Yesterday was a day off for the players, and today Aronian is set to play with current leader of the tournament Wesley So, Panorama.am reports.
To note, after eight rounds Wesley So is solely leading the table with 5.5 points. Pavel Eljanov and Wei Yi, who are holding 2-3 positions, are half a point behind the leader. Levon Aronian, Magnus Carlsen, Sergey Karjakin and Baskaran Adhiban have scored 4.5 points apiece and share 4-7 positions.
