Armenian wrestlers win 3 gold, 1 bronze medals at Paris International Wrestling Tournament
At the International Wrestling Tournament held in Paris, France, Armenian Greco-Roman style wrestlers have had brilliant performances winning three gold and one bronze medals, Panorama.am reports.
Karen Aslanyan- 66 kg weight category, Karapet Chalyan- 80 kg weight category and Maxim Manukyan- 85 kg weight category have won gold medals at the tournament. Rafael Aleksanyan (71 kg), who is Artur Aleksanyan’s brother, has won a bronze medal.
Leader of the Armenian national team in Greco-Roman wrestling Artur Aleksanyan was also set to participate in the tournament in the 98 kg weight category, however he did not manage to appear on the carpet due to illness.
Notably our wrestlers left for Paris under the lead of head coach of the team Levon Julfalakyan. The best wrestlers from 25 countries took part in the tournament.
