Certain highways remain closed, barely passable in Armenia
Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations told Panorama.am that as of 19:00 certain roads in Armenia are shut down or barely passable.
Berd-Chambarak highway, as well as all the roads of Shenkani and Mirak villages of Ararat district of Armenia’s Aragatsotn region are shut down.
Vardenyats Pass, Sotk-Karvachar section of the M11 highway, 170-250 km section of the M2 highway, as well as Verin Getashen-Madina highway of Gegharkunik region, the roads of Noyemeryan district of Tavish region, the roads of Baghramyan village of Armavir region and all the highways in Lori region are barely passable.
Clear ice is reported across Tigranashen turns, as well as across all the highways of Aragatsotn, Syunik regions and Koghb and Haghtanak villages of Tavush region.
According to the information received from the Emergency Situations Management Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Stepantsminda-Lars Highway is open for all types of vehicles with antiskid chains except for vehicles with sockets.
In the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Karvachar-Sotk highway is difficult to pass. The roads of the republic are partly covered with clear ice.
