Levon Aronian suffers defeat at Tata Steel, comes fourth
Tata Steel chess tournament held in Netherlands is over. In the final round leader Wesley So playing black outplayed Ian Nepomniatchi and became the winner of the tournament with 9 points. Panorama.am reports referring to the Chess Federation of Armenia.
Magnus Carlsen who claimed the second place, was one point behind the leader. In the final round Armenian GM Levon Aronian suffered a painful defeat in his game against Dmitry Andreikin. As a result Aronian scored 7.5 points and shared 3-5 places with Baskaran Adhiban and Wei Yi.
After the calculation of the additional accessories Levon Aronian claimed the 4th place. Adhiban took the 3th place and Wei Yi completed the top five.
