Date of Armenia’s representative performance at Eurovision Song Contest 2017 announced
Artsvik, who will be representing Armenia at Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will perform on May 9 during the song contest’s first semi-final, according to the results of the semi-final allocation draw.
Two semi-finals will be held to decide which countries will participate in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Along with Armenia, representatives of Montenegro, Finland, Georgia, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, Albania, Azerbaijan, Australia, Cyprus, Slovenia, Armenia, Moldova, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Greece, Iceland and Poland will take part in the first semi-final.
A total of 43 countries will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest this year. the Press Department at Armenia’s First Channel reported that show producers will determine the order of participation of the contestants later. The grand final will take place on May 13.
To note, Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine on 9, 11 and 13 May 2017.
“Celebrate Diversity” is the central message for this year’s event and is complimented by a creative logo design based around a traditional Ukrainian bead necklace known as Namysto.
Armenian representative Artsvik has won the Armenian national final, Depi Evratesil (To Eurovision) earlier in December. The singer was chosen through a combination of votes from a jury panel and a public SMS vote. The marathon national selection for Armenia's 2017 Eurovision Song Contest participant was launched in the summer and featured four stages which took place over three months.
