Gagik Surenyan: Warm air masses to penetrate into Armenia starting from February 5
The ongoing cyclone in the territory of Armenia will lose its power today in the afternoon with no precipitation expected in all regions of the republic.
The Head of “Armenian State Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Service” Gagik Surenyan reports, there will be snowing at night in Vayots Dzor, Syunik and Artsakh. No precipitation is expected in Armenia’s marzes starting from February 2 until February 6.
The air temperature will drop by 10 - 15 °C on February 2-3 at night hours due to arctic cold masses. The night of February 3-4 is expected to be the coldest with the temperature -25 – 30 °C in Shirak, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Aragatsotn regions and mountainous areas of Vayots Dzor.
In upper areas of Yerevan the temperature will be - 16 - 18 °C and -23 – 25 °C – in lower areas of the capital city.
According to the report, warm air passes to penetrate in to Armenia starting from February 5 with the temperature to gradually increase.
