Youth from Armenia and Europe discuss issues related to social innovation in Yerevan
On 3-6 February 120 young men from Armenia and abroad are taking part in the first innovative conference of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) titled “TODAY for Innovation” taking place in Yerevan. The conference establishes a new platform for the young leaders to discuss and come up with innovative ideas and solutions to the social challenges.
“During these four days the participants included in the six committees, will discuss innovative solutions to the social innovation and entrepreneurship regarding such topics as the anti-corruption fight, startup activity promotion, integration of refuges in the labor market, women’s role in the spheres of science and economy and food safety,” main organizer of the conference Tatevik Mkrtchyan noted the aforesaid in an interview with Panorama.am.
In her words the complex package of the solutions proposed by the young participants will be submitted to the judgement of the EYP International Office, as well as to the EU Delegation to Armenia.
“The worked out solutions will also be submitted to several local and international enterprises with the expectation of their further fulfillment. Those Armenian participants who will be distinguished during the event will receive an opportunity to represent Armenia to the EYP major international conference to be held in April,” she added.
The conference is co-financed by the European Union, the Armenia Red Cross Organization and the Oxfam Office in Armenia.
