Armenian Minister of Agriculture Ignati Arakelyan has stated education is key for consistent development of all the sectors, and educating qualified specialist is a priority of the state. According to the release, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, the minister’s comments came at the certificate giving ceremony to the participants of the food safety management systems training program held at Agribusiness Teaching Center, operating within the Armenian National Agrarian University.

To note, the one-month training program provides agribusiness education, teach the students and industry representatives the basic and essential components of food safety as well as internationally recognized food safety regulations and requirements.

“It remains of utmost importance to apply the acquired knowledge from the current course in practice and introduce a new culture into our reality. Food safety and quality will always be a primary consideration for the state, and obviously the more qualified specialists we have the sooner we will make progress,” the minister has stated.

According to the source, the ministry has expressed readiness to provide an employment opportunity to students marked with high academic performance.
 
Rector at Armenian National Agrarian University Arshaluys Tarverdyan has noted on his part that modern requirements necessitate certain changes and innovations to be introduced into the university curriculum and with this regard they have great expectations from projects implemented within international cooperation.
