Emil Babayan appointed as adviser to Artsakh President
Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree on 6 February, appointing Emil Babayan adviser to the Artsakh Republic President. Information department of the President’s Office reported. To note, Babayan served as Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenian from 2013-2016.

Born on October 2, 1977, in Yerevan
Graduated from the Leiden University, the Netherlands. master of International Law specialized in international criminal law. 2000-2001 graduated from the American University of Armenia

2008-2012 - Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia
since 2003 - Lecturer at American University of Armenia specialized in “The Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, “The concept of Genocide in the International Law”, “European Convention of Human Rights”.
2006-2008 – Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Justice, Deputy Representative of the Republic of Armenia to ECHR.
