Petrol prices fell by 16.5% in a year_ Armenia's NSS reports
January 2017 saw 0.6% deflation in the non-food product market to compare with December 2016, which was mainly based on the fall in shoe, cloth and texture prices, Panorama.am reports referring to Armenia’s National Statistical Service.
As the source reports in the above mentioned period the price of furniture and home electronic appliances fell by 0.5 percent. The prices of carpets and construction materials dropped by 0.4 percent, the price of beauty products_ by 0.3 percent and the costs of medication and stationery fell by 0.2 percent.
In parallel to this, inflation was registered detergents (0.1%), fuel, kitchen utensils (0.3%) and textile and jewellery products (0.4%). The price of the gardening tools remained the same as in the previous year.
In January 2017 Armenia was 2.2% deflation and 0.7% inflation in the petrol and diesel fuel respectively to compare with December 2016. The petrol and diesel fuel prices fell by 16.5% and 16.8% respectively to compare with January 2016.
