Ropeway to be constructed in Garni, Armenia
“There are plans to construct a ropeway in Garni,” Armenia’s Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan made such an announcement during today’s press conference, Panorama.am reports.
“It will provide a direct route between the Symphony of Stones natural monument and Khosrov Forest Reserve. A very interesting chain will be formed. We aim at operating a ropeway that will provide a way over the gorge and will take the visitors to the Symphony of Stones. Currently we are working on the project. There are also plans to construct a bridge and info centers intended for the tourists,” the minister noted.
Minasyan informed that according to the preliminary assessments the project will cost some $5 million.
The minister also added that on the basis of 2017 grant program mapping works, as well as operations related to security and passport systems will be implemented in the Symphony of Stones.
