NKR Defense Army reports rise in ceasefire violations along the Line of Contact
Rise in ceasefire violations across the Line of Contact between the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR) and Azerbaijani opposing forces is reported on the night of February 12-13. According to the NKR Defense Army release, the Azerbaijani forces have violated the ceasefire around 80 times, firing 950 shots toward the Armenian positions from D-44 artillery guns, grenade launchers, mortars, and firearms of different calibers.
According to the source, the Azerbaijani side has used D-44 artillery guns in the eastern direction, firing 13 shells, and 60mm and 82mm mortars in the northern and southern directions, firing 47 shells in total.
Defense Army frontline units closely follow the developments in the frontline and take necessary steps to suppress the adversary’s offensive actions, reads the statement.
