Artsakh images included in Suren Harutyunyan's personal exhibition to be launched in Moscow
On 16 February the personal exhibition of painter, traveller Suren Harutyunyan will be launched in the Gallery of Classical Photography in Moscow. As Newsru.com reports, during his lifetime Harutyunyan has visited over 70 countries expressing his impressions in his paintings.
The exhibition titled “Traveller” features 37 canvases, which were made in 1990s and 2000s. The paintings reveal different cultures and are dedicated to 14 countries and regions including Nagorno-Karabakh, Syria, Morocco, Mali, Senegal, Portugal, Bolivia, India, China, Zimbabwe, Peru, Benin, and Siberia.
On order to initiate the works Suren Harutyunyan has crossed tens of thousands of kilometres. His paintings are research material that contain information about culture, customs, colours, tastes and voices of different corners of the world.
Harutyunyan has intentionally visited non-touristy, distant places where it is still possible to reveal the local coloring.
Suren Harutyunyan (b. 1950) is a member of Russian Union of Professional Artists.
