Republican Party unveils proportional list for April elections headed by Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan
The Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has unveiled on Tuesday the proportional list of its candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections slated for April 2. At the end of the party executive board session Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters that RPA pre-election campaign office will not be chaired by the head of the executive branch in the upcoming elections, yet all members of the cabinet are party to the campaign.
Sharmazanov informed the RPA pre-election list comprises 133 names, while the party’s proportional list includes 64 representatives.
The proportional list is headed by RA Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan, followed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan, Ara Babloyan, and Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan.
