Three athletes represent Armenia at 2017 European Youth Olympic Festival
Three Armenian athletes_ Mikayel Mikayelyan, Gohar Tadevosyan (skiing) and Harutyun Harutyunyan (alpine skiing)_ represent the Republic of Armenia in the 13th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival which is underway in Erzurum, Turkey.
Today, on 14 February, our skiers will compete in the free style. On the same day alpine skier Harutyun Harutyunyan will join the race.
To note, in men’s championship held yesterday skier Mikayel Mikayelyan took the 25th position among 53 athletes in the 7.5km classic race. In women’s competition, Gohar Tadevosyan finished the 40th in 5km classic race. Panorama.am was informed about this from the official website of the RA Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.
The festival is held from 11 to 18 February with over 800 athletes from 40 countries taking part in it. The competitions are held in 9 sport events.
