Yerevan Council elections to be held on May 14
The Government of Armenia is set to approve the decision of holding regular election to the Yerevan Council of Elders set on May 14.
Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Development is to present the draft document at the government session, which upon adoption will enter into force on the next day following the official publication
As the decision reads the draft decision of the Government of Armenia on holding regular election to the Yerevan Council of Elders is conditioned with the end of the term of the Council of Elders as envisaged by Article 16 of the RA Law "On local self-government in the city of Yerevan" and derives from Article 127 part 2 of the RA Electoral Code.
