Armen Martirosyan reveals the proportional list of ORO bloc
The political bloc “Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian” abbreviated as “ORO” and made up of the initials of the the leaders of Heritage Party, Unity Party and Former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan has submitted its proportional list to Central Electoral Commission of Armenia for registration ahead of the forthcoming parliamentary elections set on April 2.
The political bloc is running for the parliamentary elections with a campaign slogan “Heritage, Unity and Victory”. Deputy Chairman at Heritage Party Armen Martirosyan revealed the first ten of the proportional list, headed by Seyran Ohanyan who is also the candidate for the post of Prime Minister in case the political bloc wins the elections and forms the cabinet.
Chairman of the Unity party Vartan Oskanian who served as Armenia’s foreign minister in 1998–2008 comes the third in the list, while Raffi Hovhannisyan, the first foreign minister of Armenia and the founding leader of Heritage party is the 11th.
The list comprises 148 people. At a briefing with journalists Martirosyan assessed their chances at the elections as “very strong”.
“Actually this political bloc has been established by state figures with respective experience in state administration, the will and desire to implement reforms,” Martirosyan said.
