Ferdowsi Cup: Rounds 5 and 6 over
Yesterday rounds 5 and 6 of Ferwodsi Cup took place in Iran. In Round 5 GM Hovhannes Gabuzyan lost his games against Pacher Milan and GM Hrair Simonian celebrated victory over Anda Safranska. In round 6 Gabuzyan defeated Mashmooli Kian and Simonian lost to GM Merab Gagunashvili of Georgia, Chess Federation of Armenia reports.
After 6 rounds 9 players are leading the table with 5.5 points apiece. GM Gabuzyan is closely trailing the leaders with 5 points and GM Simonian has 4.5 points.
