Armen Martirosyan will head ORO bloc campaign headquarters - Seyran Ohanyan
Deputy Head of Heritage Party Armen Martirosyan will head the campaign office of the “Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian” political bloc, one of the leaders of the alliance, former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told reporters at a press conference on Friday.
To remind, the political bloc “Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian” abbreviated as “ORO” and made up of the initials of the leaders of Heritage Party, Unity Party and Former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan submitted on Thursday its proportional list to Central Electoral Commission of Armenia for registration ahead of the forthcoming parliamentary elections set on April 2.
Seyran Ohanyan stressed the political program of the bloc will be released soon. “During the elections campaign I will keep the security issue of Armenia and Artsakh in the spotlight,” Ohanyan said. The former minister, who left his post after the change of the cabinet last September, suggested ORO proportional list comprises educated individuals with high human qualities.
Ohanyan next hailed the chairman of the Unity Party Vartan Oskanian, the third on the list, praising his service in the post of Armenia’s foreign minister in 1998–2008, saying Oskanian devoted his activity to Armenia, refusing the US citizenship and the prosperous life in the States.
Speaking of Raffi Hovhannisyan, the Chairman of Heritage Party, Ohanyan stressed “he has gained the love and respect of people due to his honesty and patriotism.”
