Ferdowsi Cup: Rounds 7 and 8 over
Ferdowsi Cup chess championship underway in Tehran comes to its end. 8 out of 11 rounds have already been played. In Round 7, two Armenian GMs Hovhannes Gabuzyan and Hrayr Simonyan ended their games in draw.
As Armchess.am reports, in Round 8 Simonyan claimed a victory and Gabuzyan lost his game. After eight rounds, Hrayr Simonyan took the 19th position with 6 points and Gabuzyan held the 29th place with 5.5 points.
Idani from Iran is leading the table with 7 points and additional accessories. Four other players have equal points.
