Road condition update: Several highways closed, difficult to pass in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that as of 18:00 February 18, several highways are closed or difficult to pass across the territory of Armenia.
Berd-Tchambarak section of H-38 highway is closed.
“Zanger” section of M-2 highway, as well as Sotk-Karvachar highway and Vardenyats Pass are difficult to pass.
Vardenyats Pass, Tigranashen Turns and Goris-Sisian roadway are partly covered with clear ice.
According to the information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia Stepantsminda-Lars Highway is open for all types of vehicles with antiskid chains.
According to the report of the Crisis Management Centre of South Ossetia, over 80 truck have been accumulated from the side of Russia.
Several roads are also difficult to pass in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The roads of Mehmana (Martakert) and Keysavan (Shushi) communities are closed.
