Armenia delivers another batch of humanitarian aid to Syria
Armenia has delivered another humanitarian aid to the population of the worn-torn Syria according to the agreement reached between the defense ministries of Armenia, Russia and the February 17 instruction by the RA President Serzh Sargsyan.
As the Ministry of Emergence Situations (MES) reports, the transfer of the humanitarian aid has been facilitated by the RA ministries of Diaspora, Agriculture, Emergency Situations, Economic Development, Foreign Affairs and Ra president’s Office.
The 20 tons of humanitarian aid, transported by Russian Il-76 military jet, included food, clothing, medicine, sleeping bags. The plane is set to land in Latakia with follow-up transfer of the part of the aid to Aleppo.
The label on the freight carrying humanitarian aid from Armenia reads: “Warm wishes of peace from Armenia to the brotherly people of Syria.”
