Tablet production doubles in Armenia
According to the data released by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS), in 2016 2012 units of tables were produced in Armenia. The indicator shows increase in tablet production to compare with 2015 when 932 tablets were produced.
As for the phones, 1683 mobile phones were produced in our country in 2016. Notably the first Armenian Armphone smartphones have gone on sale since January 2016. Prior to that, Armenia did not produce mobile phones.
It is also to be noted that Armenian company Technology & Science Dynamics (TSD) is engaged in production of ArmTab tablets, ArmPhone smartphones, as well as development of scientific and research programs.
According to the indicators of the NSS, in the past year the computer production decreased by 37.7 % in Armenia. In 2016 1063 units of computers were produced to compare with 1706 computers produced in 2015.
