69.540 citizens voted in favor of the Constitutional reforms - Srbuhi Arzumanyan
According to the initial results, 69.540 citizens or 87.6 percent of the voters voted in favor of the Constitutional referendum, Chairwoman of the Central Electoral Commission of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Srbuhi Arzumanyan noted about this.
“I want to mention that these are the initial results of the referendum, the final results will be published on 23 February. Nevertheless, initial and final results hardly differ from each other,” Srbuhi Arzumanyan said.
She added that pursuant to the law on “NKR Referendum” the reform put up to referendum is considered adopted in case more than half of the total number of voters vote in favor of it, but not less than the 1/3 part.
“Thus, 69.540 citizens or 87.6% of the voters have voted in favor. 7686 citizens or 9.7% have voted against. 2202 ballots (2.3%) have been declared invalid. We can say that the Draft Constitution is adopted,” Chairwoman of the NKR Central Electoral Commission said.
