Air temperature increased by 10-15 °C in majority of Armenia’s regions - Surenyan
Head of the Meteorological Centre of the Hydromet Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) Gagik Surenyan has noted the following in a post on his facebook page:
“Today, at dawn, the air temperature increased by 10-15 °C in the majority of Armenia’s regions, as well as in Ararat Valley and Yerevan. If at this time yesterday -20…-22°C was recorded in Ararat Valley and Yerevan, today the temperature rose to -7…-8°C in the territory.”
The website of Armenia’s MES informs that no precipitation is expected on 24-27 February. The wind is from the north-west with the velocity of 3-8m/s.
Overnight 23 February the air temperature rose by 8-10 °C and from 24 to 26 the temperature will further increase by 4-6 °C.
Today, in the morning hours light snow is expected in Yerevan. On 24-27 February, no precipitation is forecast in Armenia’s capital.
