Stepantsminda-Lars highway closed for heavy trucks
The Roads Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Infrastructures and Territorial Development told the RA Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies that as of 10:00 February 23, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is only open for light passenger vehicles with antiskid chains.
Currently the road is closed for heavy trucks due to the snow that fell overnight.
Cleaning operations are underway across the road.
The traffic is expected to be completely restored in the coming hours.
