The Armed Forces continue to fully control the situation and will carry out their job as they have been doing throughout all these years, Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan told reporters at a briefing on Thursday.
The minister admitted some escalation is observed along the Line of Contact in terms of the weapon types used by the adversary with grenade launchers and artillery applied today.

“I think we should treat this with our regular preparedness and vigilance, since the adversary has never concealed its intentions and so does today,” the minister said, adding there would be no justification to ceasefire agreement violation of any scale.

“In reality the ceasefire regime was established by ceasefire agreement within the scope of assumed international commitments. The Defense Ministry, the Armed Forces are tasked with ensuring their proper implementation through response actions that we do,” Vigen Sargsyan said.
