Active works are underway on construction of water supply system in Karvachar city of Shahumyan region, NKR. In an interview with “Artsakhpress” Head of the Shahumyan district administration Karen Yeghishyan noted the aforesaid, adding that the city will soon have 24-hour drinking and irrigation water supply.

"The program is financed from the state budget. In 2016 in the upper zone of Karvachar three ponds have been built.

The entire pipe network stretches 18 kilometers. The work already completed in about 2.3 km,” Karen Yeghishyan said, adding that the temporary suspension of works depends on bad weather conditions.

He also noted that in summer the city will not have any problems concerning drinking and irrigation water, because the completion of the water pipe construction works is planned in May.
