NKR Defense Ministry: Azerbaijani forces targeted not only military posts, but also Talish village
Starting from February 24 morning the Azerbaijani forces continued violating the ceasefire regime in the northern direction firing from mortars of different calibers, including from 120mm mortars and D-44 cannons. As the Press Service of the Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic reports in a released statement, the adversary made more intensive ceasefire violations at around 10:00-11:30.
"A total of 50 shells were fired out of which 36 shells were fired from D-44 cannons and 14 shells from mortars. It is noteworthy that the adversary targeted not only the military posts, but also Talish civil settlements firing 4 shells from 120mm mortars and D-44 cannons in the direction.
The Armenian side suffered no casualties due to the shelling.
In order to suppress the Azerbaijani aggression and to prevent its further provocations in the frontline the NKR Defense Army vanguard units took retaliatory actions.
Currently the situation is relatively calm in the frontline," reads the statement.
