Armenia Georgia set to cooperate in the sphere of food safety
The RA Ministry of Agriculture-affiliated State Food Security Service (SFSS) and the National Food Agency of Georgia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. As the press statement released by SFSS reads, the document was signed during the official visit of the RA PM Karen Karapetyan to Georgia, adding the memorandum is a significant step in introduction of international standards as well as exchange of information and experience between the respective structures of the two countries.
It was bilaterally stressed that opportunities arising from the memorandum are aimed at facilitation of the export of goods subject to food, veterinary and phytosanitary supervision through the mutual visits of the representatives of the control bodies of food of the sector.
