The statement of the Co-Chairs is inadequate to the current situation - Samvel Farmanyan
“This pre-election noise and turmoil must not prevent us from seeing the most important thing, which certainly refers to the security of our state, the steps that Azerbaijan takes against the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic,” RPA (Republican Party of Armenia) faction MP Samvel Farmanyan noted the aforesaid during today’s Parliament session.
In his words, the recent steps of Azerbaijan, in particular the extradition of Russian-Israeli blogger Lapshin, issuance of arrest warrant against the MEPs and the appointment of Aliyev’s wife as the Vice-President of the country come to prove the fact that Azerbaijan not only contradicts to the international community and all the possible standards of civilization, but also becomes an unpredictable and dangerous state.
“The most recent evidence is the sabotage infiltration attempt which received an adequate response by our Armed Forces,” the MP said.
He expressed concerns over the inadequate reaction of the international society, namely over the recent statement released by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. The Armenian side has provided all the possible evidence, which shows which side initiated the ceasefire violation and attempted a military escalation, however the statement (of the Co-Chairs) remains inadequate to the current situation.
“We must be able to make the mediators realize the simple truth that such inadequate statements that put a plus sign between the sides are of no use, except only Azerbaijan uses them as smokescreen to take another destructive measure,” Samvel Farmanyan said.
