Azerbaijani forces apply Spike anti-tank missile in Martuni direction
Defense Ministry of the Artsakh Republic reports that Azerbaijani forces have applied Spike anti-tank guided missile on Tuesday at 15:40 in the southeastern (Martuni) direction of the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan. The ministry insists that Azerbaijani actions come to shows it is deliberately escalating the situation in the frontline leading to unpredictable consequences.
The ministry reminds that the launch of a missile comes days after the Azerbaijani offensive operation failed, leaving 5 dead in the no man’s land with “hopes the adversary would refrain from further provocations.”
The ministry informs Defense Army suffered no losses as a result of the missile launching.
In the meantime, the release goes on, Azerbaijani forces have continued breaking the ceasefire throughout the day, firing from weapons of different calibers, including automatic grenade launchers (AGS-17- 10 shells), 60mm mortars (2 shells) long with using UAVs.
Defense Ministry of the Artsakh Republic expresses readiness for any future developments, while the Azerbaijani military-political leadership will bear the whole responsibility for the further escalation of the situation on the Line of Contact.
