NKR Defense Ministry: Situation remains tense in the line of contact
Overnight February 28-March 1, the situation in the Line of Contact between Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) and Azerbaijan remained tense. More intensive ceasefire violations came overnight. As the Press Service of the NKR Defense Ministry reports, the Azerbaijani forces fired more than 1100 shots towards the Armenian positions from machine guns and artillery weapons of various calibers.
In addition to applying mortars of different calibers and D-44 cannons, the adversary also opened fire from TR-107 rocket- artillery systems (5 shells) in the southeastern direction (Martuni) of the Line of Contact.
Yesterday the Azerbaijani forces also applied Spike anti-tank guided missile in the same direction.
The Armenian side suffered no losses as a result of the ceasefire violation.
In order to suppress the Azerbaijani aggression, the Defense Army frontline unites took retaliatory actions in cases of necessity and confidently fulfilled their combat duties.
Currently the situation in the frontline is calm.
