Buckwheat produced in Armenia’s Tsovagyugh village to appear in the local market soon

To note, the buckwheat-processing factory was established within ENPARD program (European Neighborhood Partnership Agriculture and Rural Development). With the support of the program, five cooperatives engaged in buckwheat-cultivation have been opened in the province since 2015 and the buckwheat produced by them is processed in this factory.
The minister noted that this is quite an interesting program, which will enables Armenia to replace the imported products with the local ones. Thus, after receiving the necessary information about the demand, the government will discuss the specific fertilizer and seed subsidy issue in order to ensure the continuity and expansion of the program.
The corporative staff assures that already at the end of April they will have packed products and the Armenian consumers will have an opportunity to buy Armenian buckwheat produced in Gegharkunik.
