Medieval treasures of Armenian culture displayed in Kiev
Exhibition entitled “The Armenian Book in Ukraine: The 400-year History” was opened on March 1 at Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. Unique documents proving friendly bonds of the Armenian and Ukrainian peoples were for the first time presented to the wider public, according to analitikaua.net news outlet.
The source notes, medieval Armenian manuscripts of the 14th, 16th, 17th centuries along with publications of the 19-20th century concerning Armenia, Armenian music history books draw the visitors’ attention most of all. The displayed exhibits are kept at Ukrainian libraries. The source writes that the Armenian community of Ukraine is actively working to popularize the national historical values throughout the country.
