Armenian alpine skiers improve their credit scores
Armenia Open Championship of Alpine Skiing is over in Tsaghkadzor. The skiers have competed in special and giant slaloms. Secretary General of the Skiing Federation of Armenia Gagik Sargsyan noted that the Armenian skiers have improved their positions in the rankings.
“Our gained scored credit scores in the competition. I think they will launch the tournament in good positons. I hope we will have enough credit scores to make a quota. Unfortunately, we only expect one quota.
The results of the Armenia Open Championship were satisfactory. Skiers Ashot Karapetyan, Vazgen Arakelyan, Harutyun Harutyunyan and Grisha Vardanyan were distinguished by their performance. Meanwhile, there is still much work to be done. We expected higher results from our young athletes,” Gagik Sargsyan said according to the report of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia.
The secretary general of the federation also noted that in a few days our alpine skiers are set to depart for Austria to take part in the alpine ski championship. The members of the team have not been chosen yet. In Austria the alpine skiers will hold a training camp.
