Scouts of the Russian military base in Armenia holding drills in high-mountainous area
Russian army reconnaissance formations of the military base in Armenia have started drills. As the Southern Federal District of Russian Defense Ministry reports on Wednesday, around 300 servicemen and over 50 units of special military hardware are participating in drills.
According to the source, the serviceman will conduct search operation and annihilation of a simulated enemy reconnaissance groups during the drills. “According to the scenario of a special operation, the scouts will perform 5 km long marching, orienting in unfamiliar terrain as well as practicing firing at simulated enemy forces from small caliber weapons and armored vehicles at a distance of 200 -1,500 km,” the release added.
According to the source, the drills will be accompanied by UAVs to check the scouts’ performance. The military exercises will be completed within a month.
