Armenian figure skating coach accuses judges of bias
Armenian figure skating coach Rafael Arutyunyan has slammed the actions of the judges in the Ladies’ Singles competition. According to him, the judges show more favourable attitude towards the Russian figure skaters, Lenta.ru reports.
“We do not pay attention to all this, and I do not know why it is so. The other figure skaters perform the same elements, however the judges show biased attitude, which affects the scores,” the coach announced.
To note, in European Figure Skating Championships 2017, Evgenia Medvedeva from Russia became the winner setting two world records. Another Russian athlete Anna Pogorilaya took the second place. The World Figure Skating 2017 will be held in Finland from 29 March to 2 April.
To note, Rafael Arutyunyan has coached such famous figure skaters as Mao Asad (Japan), Michelle Kwan (USA) and Alexander Abt (Russia).
