Armenia, the Word Health Organization to sign new agreement in Copenhagen
RA Ministry of Healthcare and the World Health Organization (WHO) plan to sign the regular biennial collaborative agreement between WHO/Europe and Armenia for 2018-2019.
According to the RA ministry release, Armenian Minister of Healthcare Levon Altunyan has left for Copenhagen at the invitation of WHO Regional Director for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab to sign the new agreement and discuss a range of issues.
The ministry details that WHO is the main international partner organization of the RA Ministry of Healthcare. The cooperation is implemented through biennial collaborative agreement covering various healthcare spheres and directions.
In the scope the two-day visit the parties will discuss the works implemented under the existing agreement as well as the future course.
According to the source, the sides will reflect on combating communicable and non-communicable diseases, the fight against tuberculosis, maternal and child health protection and programs pertaining to other healthcare spheres.
