Henrikh Mkhitaryan suggests Manchester United can still catch Chelsea in the Premier League
Henrikh Mkhitaryan appears to have warned Chelsea that Manchester United believe they can upset them in both the Premier League and FA Cup this season, The Mero reports.
To remind, Manchester United travel to Stamford Bridge on Monday night for their FA Cup quarter-final clash and will also play them in the league at Old Trafford next month.
Jose Mourinho’s men are also 17 points behind Chelsea in the Premier League table, though they can in theory reduce that to 11 points if they win their game in hand and beat them when they meet on 16 April.
Speaking about United’s prospects, Mkhitaryan was keen to state that he views the team as still being in three competitions, saying: ‘It’s going to be very important to stay in three different competitions.
‘We’re going to try to do that. It’s not going to be easy because as you go further it gets difficult but we have to try.
‘We’re having a good time now, we’re having good games, we have a good squad and we can reach the maximum that we want,’ the Armenian has told the paper.
