Harutyun Khachatryan’s “Deadlock” takes part in two international film festivals this month
General Director of the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival, Meritorious Artist of the Republic of Armenia Harutyun Khachatryan’s movie, “Deadlock” will take part in two different international film festivals in this month. As the Press Service of the Golden Apricot told Panorama.am, the 10th edition of the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival has launched today in Romania with Khachatryan’s “Deadlock” being submitted for the category the Best Film.
21st Sofia International Film Festival is underway since March 9. The “Deadlock” is submitted in Premieres out of competition program.
“Deadlock” is about Levon, an engineer, who after having obtained a green card for the United States, leaves his homeland to search for a brighter future. “Deadlock” is the second installment in the five-documentary film series titled “Endless Escape, Eternal Return” dedicated to the Armenian Diaspora.
The world premiere of the film was held within Vision du Reel international Film Festival held in Nyon City of Switzerland, in 2016.
