Still much to be done in the sphere of Armenian, French trade and economic relations, Ambassador says
French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-François Charpentier assesses Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s recent visit to France as ‘excellent’ and ‘outstanding’. At a press conference on Tuesday the Ambassador noted Armenia and French had enjoyed diplomatic relations full of dynamism and rich agenda for 25 years without any breaks.
Even though political relations between the states are at a high level, trade and economic links are lagging with much to be done in the sphere, according to Jean-François Charpentier.
“Both sides have a desire to invigorate the sphere to catch up with the level achieved in the political sphere,” noted the Ambassador, adding it was no coincidence that in the scope of the French visit President Sargsyan met with the members of the largest employer federation in France Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF). The Federation is a link between the French entrepreneurs, leaders of different countries and private sectors.
The meeting was aimed at presenting Armenia’s benefits and advantages to French entrepreneurs.
