Baku’s hypocrisy has no limits – Tigran Balayan
“The hypocrisy of Baku has no limits. The ambassador, who supports the outbreak of a war, wants to head UNESCO,” RA Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tigran Balayan noted the aforesaid in reference to the report according to which Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu has been nominated for the post of the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Balyan posted the link, which notes the announcement of the Azerbaijani Ambassador claiming that the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict through diplomatic means is not effective and for this reason, Baku has chosen the military resolution of the conflict.
To note, the term of Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, expires soon. Baku is convinced that the singer-ambassador can greatly contribute to the development of the organization. The elections are set to be held in autumn, and currently the candidatures are being considered by the Executive Board of the organization.
On April 1, the Executive Board of UNESCO will officially inform all the member states about the names of all the candidates to the post.
